The conference on strategic metals and industrial sovereignty organized by the National Committee of French Foreign Trade Advisors

On November 12, 2025, our firm took part in the conference organized by the National Committee of French Foreign Trade Advisors (CCE), in partnership with the Ecological Transition Expert Group and the Île-de-France and Hauts-de-Seine Committees.

The event gathered leading public and private stakeholders to discuss critical metals and their essential role in ensuring France’s and Europe’s industrial and energy sovereignty.

Key speakers

  • Benjamin Gallezot, Interministerial Delegate for the Security of Strategic Metals Supply

  • Jean-Jacques Santini, Chairman of the Advisory Commission to Public Authorities and Vice-President of the CCE

Strategic discussions

The conference addressed Europe’s dependence on China, the French national strategy initiated with the Varin Report (2022), and the European Critical Raw Materials Act (CRMA).

Our firm also had the opportunity to exchange with Mr. Benjamin Gallezot on the ongoing cooperation between Mongolia and France in the area of critical metals — a strategic partnership that underlines the importance of international collaboration in securing sustainable supply chains.

The European dimension

Speakers explored the European Commission’s role in implementing the CRMA, aiming to enhance production, recycling, and diversification of supply sources within Europe.

Our commitment

Through its participation, our firm reaffirms its commitment to advancing sustainable industrial and ecological transitions, and to supporting international cooperation initiatives that contribute to European resilience and sovereignty.
